Personality: As far as personality goes, Hiro's is, for the most part, mostly created by the player and shaped through things that happen throughout the game, being a fancy pants silent protagonist and all. What route he ends up on also has a hand in this. OVERALL, however, there are things that are true about him and his character no matter what you do and what route you take. First off, he doesn't tend to think ahead - he deals with the immediate problem and then moves onto the next one once the current one is cleared. (Example: Need to take care of the Bels. LET'S GET THE BELS. Wait hold on, something is going down RIGHT NOW I MUST DO THAT RIGHT NOW LET'S GO EVERYONE DEVIL RANGERS OUT.) On that front, he doesn't let serious things go until he feels like they're absolutely solved. He's very determined like that - stupid determined even. And with great determination comes great quietability. Typically, Hiro usually sticks to speaking when spoken to or when a decision needs to be made, though he will of course always have his insightful moments and have something to say.

... Hooowever, as quiet as he can be, when he does decide to speak up, he shows he's also got some, well, shonen retard in him. For instance, during an absolutely serious discussion about Amane's powers, his response can be "Amane's a total badass." - said in complete seriousness with a dramatic face no less. He'll introduce himself to a friend of Yuzu's by saying she's his girlfriend, being the awesome childhood friend that he is, and he is totally up for checking out girls (read: Amane) with Atsuro, totally ignoring the fact this is not one of those wimpy games where you can date the girls. There's also messing around with Haru (and brilliantly blurting out comments regarding her suicide attempt(s)), and making friends with her and all that good stuff. Heck, he'll even yell at a boss or try to get a rise out of them if he feels so inclined.

There's also another part of his personality - while he is without a doubt the leader of the group, he's also a victim to suggestion. If someone else's ideas seem like a good idea, regardless of who the idea came from (trust me, he will take any idea if it's a good one), he'll pursue it as if it had been his own. Sure, he's known to make the most calm, rational decisions, and the group's way of approaching it reflects this, but that doesn't change the fact a lot of the time his decisions aren't coming from his own ideas. That's not to say he's dumb or without ideas, of course, because he often shows understanding of things others don't and can have some good input from time to time. Though if he doesn't bring it up someone else usually figures it out. It's also almost always him that gives the final say in what the group will do, even if they don't agree with it (he can decide to help some demons fight back against angels at one point), also showing he can be a wildcard sometimes, and though he isn't arrogant per se, he definitely has the leader gene. He can be a little judgmental, too, even declaring that the angels piss him off when discussing plans for the final day with his friends. Despite them, you know, being angels and all.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
+ Silent protagonist aura of cool/bad
+ Calm and collected (most of the time)
+ Goal oriented no matter what
+ Natural leader

- Can be TOO goal oriented
- Weak to Suggestion type attacks
- A bit of a derp/dork sometimes in serious situations
- He was born related to Naoya

I need to leave.

[Yup, that's the first thing one gets out of the blue-haired, headphone toting young man as he looks into the PokeGear. He's all business to boot, no nonsense here. No sir. Not a bit.]

If this is on, I need to know the fastest way to Tokyo as soon as possible. I know it's probably still under lockdown, but I'll break in if I have to. I don't know what the news has been saying, but there's something I have to do there, and I'm going to get back no matter what it takes.

[he pauses, smiling somewhat sadly.] It figures after all the breaking out we wanted it comes down to charging in.

Well, it doesn't matter. I'm not sure what you guys mean about gym badges and demon breeding, and I don't have the time to find out. [a beat] If we're somehow in the demon world, that maybe that just makes things easier for me.

[And there the feed stops. .... After a few seconds, however, the feed clicks back on, and the young man's face returns - now looking just a bit sheepish.]

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask. Can anyone tell me how to connect to the Devil Auction? All my demons are gone, and I want to buy some more so I've got more than just the mini Godzilla I got, but everyone keeps saying to use my balls. [he makes a face, torn between snickering and looking horrified.] My balls? What's up with that?

[Now he cuts off.]

Third Person Sample:
Hiroto Ibuki was facing a difficult decision. It wasn't a choice between fighting angels or demons - it wasn't a choice between saving humanity or fighting against it. No, it wasn't anything nearly as complex as that, though to a person like Hiro, it was still important, and one he wanted to give proper attention all the same.

For the question that had fallen upon Hiro today was the question of what he should name his new demon. The fact he didn't have his COMP was unsettling enough, and combined with the fact that Atsuro, Naoya, Kaido, Miss Mari, and Black Frost were nowhere to be seen... Well, he deeeefinitely didn't mind this little guy tagging along. He hadn't even had to buy him!

"You kind of look like a little Godzilla," Hiro remarked curiously after a few moments of staring at the creature - a demon called a Larvitar, apparently - squatting down to give the creature a better once-over. Atsuro would probably have been running off some movie trivia right now, or maybe saying how the little thing didn't look like Godzilla (Hiro didn't care much right now how accurate his comparison was) and maybe Yuzu would say...

Hiro paused, frowning. Yuzu wouldn't say anything. Yuzu was still in the city somewhere. Mad at him, disappointed in his decision, but still there. Everyone was. At least she'd be safe with Midori watching her back. He stood up, shaking his head.

He needed to leave. He had been a few moments from becoming Overlords of every single demon in the world, and no fake mom or professor was going to stop him from achieving that. Destroying God and the angels - this was all that mattered. Then humanity, even if he would never again be a part of it (he didn't mind, though. demons weren't all that bad, he thought), would be safe.

"Come on Belzilla," Hiro told the little demon. He'd have to start building his party back up somewhere... And if Atsuro wasn't here, then he'd have to take the naming process - and the figuring-things-out process - into his own hands. "We're going home."
