[Somewhere in the middle of New Bark, one might find a blue haired youth sitting with his Larvitar attempting to figure out his PokeGear.]

Is this an old COMP model? Doesn't really look like it, but only Atsuro would know for sure. [he shakes his head] It looks like all my demons and macca are gone too. ... No, not gone. They're probably still in my COMP. Which means that--

[a beep!, and the PokeGear's video function whirrs to life.]

-- I really need to leave. [at the sound of Larvitar making a noise on the side, Hiro glances away from the screen, then back to it.] Oh, awesome. I got it working even without Atsuro here.

... Might as well get right into it.

Listen, I don't know where I am, but I need to get back to Tokyo.

[he pauses, then suddenly flares up a little]

Does this at least have a TV function? Internet? I want to check the news about the lockdown. That is, if the government's even let it have that name. It's probably been really covered up outside too.

[he shakes his head again, getting just a bit angry. in a few hours, everything will be...]

Listen I'm running out of time! If you know where I am and how I can get back to Tokyo, tell me as soon as you can!

[with that, he ends the feed [/VIDEO] and gets up, heading back towards the Professor's place. He figures if there's a scientist handing out demons, he's got to have answers.

[RAIDOU IS PINGED. Kuzunoha is here and you might recognize his last name from the Devil Auction thing. Some future Raidou Kuzunoha running around buying demons? NONSENSE]

... [Alright, that pretty much names all the things Raidou has both summoned and battled. Now his turn at this] How about Pyro Jack, Belial, Thor, Angel, and Aeros? [That's just to name a few, but those were some of the many he has summoned.]

Did you say Belial!?

[That would be a Big Yes.]

... [he nods slowly, though he's somewhat suspicious now. another demon tamer, and one that knows Belial at that. dangerous.]

Just who are you?

[Well, that's a reaction Raidou hasn't really expected. The Belial he has back at home in his summoning tubes hasn't caused much damage, but who knows? Devil Summoners don't own their demons forever.]

... [He adjusts his hat on properly and stays silent for a few seconds trying to figure what might be going on.] Raidou Kuzunoha the Fourteentn, Devil Summoner.

And you?

Kuzunoha? [he pauses. he's never heard of a "summoner", except in Haru's very special case, and more to the point...] I've seen that name before on the Devil Auctions. Do you buy your demons there?

[giving a nod, Hiro continues - matching Raidou's introduction with a similar one.] Hiroto Ibuki, soon-to-be King of Bel.

["Devil Auctions"? What is that? Are those unqualified summoners doing some shady business again? Looks like more work is piling up for him and he's not even back home. He just shakes his head after a second of confusion] Devil Summoners capture their demons, not buy them.

[now here's something else that he's confused about] "King of Bel"?

[Hiro does pretty much the same thing. Admittedly he's not a PROPER "summoner", the COMP does most of that... for now, but even so.] That's not what we've had to do.

That's right. You mentioned Belial, didn't you?

Do you buy all your demons then? [Sheesh, if so, that means there is a huge black market going around since this guy said he "had a lot".]

[He nods] What of it?

All except for the first one, which I needed to contract, and the ones inside of me, yeah. [he nods.] Though after that I started fusing them to make them stronger. At this point I don't really have any that I just "bought".

It's one of the Bels.

[Fusing? That sounds like Victor's kind of work, another name that often comes up on these Devil Auctions] So you know Victor? [Because that's the only way that Raidou knows so far about demon fusing]

[And look at this stare. This is a stare of confusion and not understanding what you mean. Soooooooo, it has "Bel" in its name...okay...Still staring.]

Victor? Who is Victor? [And what do they have to do with fusing and the Cathedral of Shadows?]

... [Allllllright, well...] The scientist that fuses demons?

[And a shake of his head once again] If Belial has done something, I'll give it a talk when I arrive back home.

Scientist? We just use a program for that.

I don't think that's going to be possible. Belial is inside of me right now. [a beat] I really don't see why a Bel would listen to a human though...

[Oh c'mon, how unfair is that? He has to keep running around to find portals Victor makes just to fuse and you can do it through a program-- wait this sounds familiar.] What year are you from? [He has managed to see glimpses of the future way ahead of him and he has seen this mechanical summoning program or something.]

"Inside you"? [If a demon is inside a person, normally that means they have been possessed or the demon is wearing the human's skin for this. Raidou shifts. If he needs to get over to New Bark to kill another demon, he will run all the way there. He ignores the second point because this whole "inside" business is so much more important.]

[Why does everyone keep asking what year he's from? Seems like an odd question. Unless the government can somehow cover THAT up, it shouldn't really be necessary. Still, Hiro answers all the same.] 2009.

That's right. [... Well, Hiro can understand why someone might be upset about hearing that. It's not often you hear about this kind of thing. He'd only heard about a demon being inside another person in the case of Jezebel, though with him it was a little different.] He's dead though, don't worry. Just like the others - I sort of absorbed them all. [even he isn't sure quite how it all worked. it... just did. he begins listing them off] Beldr, Belial, Belzaboul, Jezebel, Belberith... All that was left was Babel.

[2009? That's about 80 years ahead of Raidou's time... Well, that might explain some of this new fusing business and why this guy doesn't know Victor. The scientist is pretty old right now so he probably will not live that long unless he turns himself into an android or a demon of sorts. Guess this means Raidou doesn't have to deal with demon smuggling when he gets home. A Kuzunoha in that time period can deal with it.] You're ahead of me. [Ahead as in means of time, not one step ahead. Kinda hard to tell with Raidou though with these really vague answers.]

[Now, out of those, Raidou knows of Belzaboul and Belial with the latter being a demon that he uses often in battle.] Absorb them for what purpose?

[Hiro isn't quite sure what he means by "ahead", but he takes Raidou's word for it and nods. Maybe he means a better demon tamer...?]
