Ninth Day - Video/Action

I've been thinking. Maybe it's about time for me to try challenging that Gym Leader. I think my team is more than strong enough, even if I use Bug types against his birds, and the sooner one of us beats him, the sooner the rest of us can.

[Hiro grimaces as the loud, cheesy, automated greeting finishes saying hello to the customer on the other end of his headset, his train of thought interrupted completely. For those watching over video, his outfit has changed completely. He's now wearing an Oddish-themed fast food uniform, complete with cheesy nametag and all. Even his everpresent headphones have been replaced with a headset, complete with leaves on either side to finish the ensemble.]

Can someone explain to me why there's even a drive-through lane here if there aren't any cars? Is the customer walking or something? [Hiro sighs.] I know I needed money, but I'm started to regret taking on such a--

[At this point, a trainer riding on a Dodrio walks up to the window Hiro has been standing next to, looking at Hiro expectantly.]

[Ampharos points to a couple of burgers and fries, as if demanding she gets something. And yes, Shiho is embarrassed by this.]

[Hiro blinks, then watches her and her Pokemon, before grinning a little.]

[Ree, surrogate mother extraordinaire. She grabs the wallet, slaps down some money, and nods.

Shiho is powerless against her mama!Pokemon.]

[... so angry. still, given the reasons, Hiro's still grinning - he takes the money and puts in her order.]

[Hiro is... shortly noticing this, at which points he lets out a quick yell.]

[And out of nowhere, a Combusken is dropping down and right in front of them. ... He was in hiding because it was a Grass themed place and he was a Fire type, okay. In any case, HE IS EAGER TO SHOW OFF TO HIS BOSS MAN.]

["Oh dear" doesn't cover it.]

You two. Get back here. Now. [See? Baaaaaad mood.

And have a baby Eevee that got so scared, it started crying. Seriously, she's only a few weeks old. Fantasma....psh, she doesn't care. Just struts off.

... [Hiro - and the Combusken - really have no idea what to do about what happened here. ... The Combusken goes after the Misdreavus, leaving Hiro to approach the Eevee and pat it.]

[Shiho sighs, walks over, and picks up her Eevee. And.....attempts to comfort it. She is not good with babies.]

Not really. They should know better than to steal. [Well, actually it's morely Fantasma's fault since she's a bad influence.]

That one looks too young to know that actually.

She is. Fantasma is just a horrible influence.

[Said ~~brat~~ Pokemon is now looking smug.]

[Oh, now she's angry. She sticks out her tongue, and disappears.

Shiho knows what comes next.]

Look out. [Shiho grabs Hiro and pulls him closer to her.]

[Hiro blinks, but he lets her do this.]

[As he says that, though, he and his Combusken both get on their guard.]

[She's not too happy with you right now. But she's blushing. A lot.]

I am not trying to be forward.

[Hiro offers an "apologetic" smile. He can see her expression, sure, but that blush is right there man.]

Really? That's too bad.

[Give her a sec to compose herself. But she is turning red~]

I-I'm not trying to do anything other than help you. Because Fantasma--

[On cue, Fantasma reappears behind Hiro, and realizes that her plan was foiled. And pouts.]

Fantasma...?

[Not one to rush things, really, Hiro will wait for her to finish and enjoy the scenery in the meantime.]

[OI. EYES OFF THE SCENERY. NOW. Red-in-the-face Shiho points behind him.]

She often goes up behind people and scared them. I was just trying to avoid that.

And nothing more.

[Hiro simply glances behind him, nods, then looks back to her.]

I see. [he'll step back to give her some room, but not before leaving her with one more implication.] Your Pokemon are a lot more helpful than you said, aren't they?

[Shiho does not get the implication, but has an idea.]
